National security and public safety entities increasingly rely on broadband to ensure reliable communications and seamless emergency response capabilities. This essential infrastructure is maintained almost exclusively by the private sector, and substantial public-private readiness efforts are well underway.

Vo stressed the importance of telemedicine networks partnering with state and local governments as well as commercial broadband providers in order to ensure that the information is delivered reliably. |
